I would need:
A quick read up on twin-stick transfer cases
Some bigger tires
A Roof Rack
Interior work
Trailer hitch (if it doesn't have one)
Then I would have the greatest adventure vehicle ever.
Oh yeah, I would need the money for it as well.

Because then you get bulletproof reliability, easy maintenance, the 6 cylinder battle-rattle, and you get rid of what seems like a tiny V8 for such a big (and most likely very heavy) beast.
